“It’s a beautiful day in this neighbourhood. A beautiful day for a neighbour. Would you be mine, could you be mine?”
Who’s got that Fred Rogers song stuck in their head now? You’re welcome 😊.
Today is National Good Neighbour Day! Let’s do some good together!
To celebrate, organize a neighbourhood clean-up day this week with people around your block. Grab a bunch of gloves and trash bags and help beautify your community by combing your streets and alleys and picking up any litter before the temperatures change.
Getting your community involved in a neighbourhood cleanup can be a great way to create awareness and lay the groundwork for future community waste-reducing efforts. A cleanup can also bring about a sense of community and responsibility to keep our homes and common areas safe and clean, helping to preserve our world.
And when the day is done, how about a community potluck so you can all relax and grab a bite to eat!
Until next Wednesday,
